Rx Drug Safety

Placer-Nevada Rx Drug Safety Coalition is a non-profit organization that focuses on opioid prescription safety and increasing the awareness of local resources for the opioid epidemic. Our goal is to prevent opioid misuse and overdoses in Placer and Nevada Counties by gathering multiple stakeholders to assess and create solutions focusing on safe prescribing practices, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and increasing access to naloxone.

Physician Wellness Program 

SCMF provides local physicians with the opportunity to meet in a group atmosphere with their colleagues to discuss day-to-day challenges and participate in relaxing activities such as baking, painting, hiking, music performances, regional outings and much more. Our peer groups are facilitated by mental health professionals and are hosted by local physicians, in-person or virtually on a monthly basis.

SCMF's Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Coalition is comprised of physicians, local law enforcement agencies, educators, and other professionals in our counties. The coalition is looking to bring awareness surrounding the effects of ACEs, initiate ACEs screenings, and help locate resources for those in need.
